MATHEMATICS
This year in Math, we will be using the “Math in Focus” program. With this program,
students will learn and apply Math to solve problems in a variety of ways. Along with
learning various strategies, students will also use manipulatives to reinforce the concepts
they are learning. Our curriculum will include Numerical Operations and Number Sense
(Place Value, Estimation, Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division), Geometry, and
Data and Probability. Students are urged to study and learn basic math facts (addition,
subtraction, division, and multiplication). Please continue to reinforce math fact practice at
home at home.
